University of Bolton

The University of Bolton has a 190 year history in delivering vocational and traditional degree courses alongside access, foundation and postgraduate programmes. Based on a compact but up-to-date campus, its 11,000 students learn in small class sizes with top notch facilities.

Bolton has strong links to industry and many courses are professionally accredited by organisations like Chartered Institutes, the British Psychological Society and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

In 2015 the Bolton UTC opened, offering specialist courses in medical and dental technologies, pharmacy and engineering. There is also a new, purpose-build £31 million health research centre which was developed with NHS Bolton and Bolton Council.
