Edge Hill University

Edge Hill University is based in the North West town of Ormskirk. Most full-time students are based at the Ormskirk campus. You can also study for Edge Hill accredited degrees at various other locations around the UK in the North West, Shropshire and further afield.
The university opened in Liverpool in 1885 as the first non-denominational teacher-training college for women, and now has almost 10,000 full-time students, another 3,000 part-time students working towards an undergraduate degree. A further 5,000 full and part-time postgraduate students are enrolled at the university.
Funding has been approved for a new fully-developed campus, a new Technology hub, and additional labs for Geosciences. New accommodation units are due to open in September 2016.
