Glasgow Caledonian University
Situated in the centre of Glasgow, Caledonian university (GCU) was created in 1993 by the merging Queen’s College, Glasgow and Glasgow Polytechnic. It is one of Scotland’s biggest universities and has around 20,000 students. It is divided into the following schools:
- School of Engineering and Built Environment
- Glasgow School for Business Society
- School of Health and Life Sciences
There is also a campus in London, called GCU London, which is for postgraduate students. In Glasgow, the campus is on one site in the city centre.
GCU has a diverse range of international students coming from more than 100 countries. It has been rated top for international student satisfaction in Scotland four years in a row, and it is rated 2nd in the UK.
